ssu elections guide

No matter the phase we’re in, we’ve got your back.

Welcome to your elections guide

Thank you for your interest in getting involved with the Sheridan Student Union Election process. This is your opportunity to help shape every Sheridan student’s college experience throughout the next academic year. Whether you decided to run in the election (or make your mark by voting), this guide will help you prepare for each phase of the election.

To get started, here are A few things you should know:

  1. There are three key phases of the Elections Process: 1) Nominations 2) Campaign Week and 3) Voting. We are currently in the Campaign Week phase. Curious about how you can get involved? Get the details below.

  2. The Board of Directors use the SSU’s Pillars of Success to help inform their work: The pillars of success include supporting student well-being, diverse student experiences, and access and accountability to quality education.

  3. This year Campaign Week is two-weeks long at starts March 2 @ 9 am. Take the time to read each candidates profile who is running to be a representative of your campus. The SSU Board of Directors approve the annual operating budget and student fees of the Sheridan Student Union and also play a large role in providing strategic corporate oversight to the SSU. It’s a critical time for student advocacy, and you won’t want to miss the chance for your voice to be heard.
