I’m inspired by everyday student leaders who balance academics, work, and responsibilities while still showing up for others. Seeing how much impact someone can make simply by being dependable and supportive motivates me to lead with integrity and accountability.

Across Ontario, students are facing increased financial and academic pressure, which directly affects mental health. Balancing school, work, and personal responsibilities has become more challenging than ever. As a Board member, I would support initiatives that improve accessibility to mental health resources, strengthen communication about available supports, and ensure student voices are reflected in decisions that impact their well-being.

One of the most pressing challenges students at my campus are facing is accessing essential services easily, whether it’s financial aid, academic advising, or other administrative departments. Many students experience long wait times, unclear processes, or difficulty knowing where to go for support. This can be especially stressful during important academic or financial deadlines. If elected, I would advocate for clearer communication, more streamlined processes, and better visibility of available resources so students can access help efficiently and confidently.
What are some of the student issues that you would like to bring to the Board table?
Why is Financial support the area YOU ARE MOST PASSIOnate ABOUt?
I am most passionate about advocating for Financial Support: Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards because access to funding is one of the most significant factors that can influence a student’s ability to succeed academically and fully engage in campus life. Many students face challenges managing tuition, living expenses, and other costs associated with pursuing post-secondary education, all while balancing their studies and part-time work. These financial pressures can create stress, limit participation in campus activities, and impact overall well-being, making it harder for students to focus on their education and reach their full potential.
Scholarships, bursaries, and awards not only provide financial relief, but they also empower students to take full advantage of the opportunities Sheridan has to offer. Funding support can make a meaningful difference in a student’s life, helping them access academic resources, engage in extracurricular activities, participate in leadership roles, and gain experiences that prepare them for success beyond college.
As someone who has been actively involved in the Sheridan community, I have seen firsthand how financial challenges can affect students’ ability to participate fully in college life. Through my roles as a Peer Mentor and a Parking and Locker Department Associate, I have interacted with many students, listened to their concerns, and supported them in navigating campus resources. These experiences have shown me the importance of advocating for equitable access to funding and resources that directly impact student well-being and success.
Supporting financial aid initiatives aligns closely with the SSU’s mission to enhance the well-being of students, promote the whole student experience, and ensure access and accountability to quality education. By prioritizing scholarships, bursaries, and awards, the Board can directly reduce barriers that prevent students from focusing on their studies, participating in opportunities for personal and professional growth, and contributing to the campus community. I am committed to bringing the voices of students to the table, ensuring that funding initiatives reflect the real needs of our community, and supporting programs that create meaningful, long-term impact.
I believe that when financial barriers are addressed, students are better equipped to excel academically, develop leadership skills, and engage fully in the Sheridan experience. Advocating for scholarships, bursaries, and awards is about more than money it’s about creating an environment where students feel supported, included, and empowered to achieve their goals. I am passionate about ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed and thrive, and I would bring this commitment, along with my experience and dedication, to the SSU Board of Directors to help make Sheridan a place where all students can reach their full potential.
“I want to make a mark on campus by ensuring policies reflect real student needs.”

I’m a motivated and dedicated student passionate about supporting others and contributing to a positive campus community. At Sheridan, I serve as a Peer Mentor, guiding new and returning students, assisting them in navigating academic and campus life, and facilitating orientation and engagement events. I communicate college policies and resources clearly, maintain confidentiality when handling concerns, and escalate issues when needed, which has strengthened my judgment and problem-solving skills.
In addition, I work as a Parking and Locker Department Associate, assisting students with campus logistics, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations. These roles, combined with over five years of experience in customer service, supervision, and administrative support, have honed my leadership, teamwork, and organizational abilities. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and engaging Sheridan community, and I am eager to bring my skills, energy, and dedication to the Board of Directors to support initiatives that enhance the student experience and ensure every student feels heard and valued.

As SSU develops its 2026 Strategic Plan, I believe student accessibility and navigation of services should be a key priority. Through my work as a Peer Mentor, I’ve worked closely with students and have seen firsthand how many struggle to access services like financial aid, academic advising, or other campus supports. Often, the issue isn’t the lack of resources, but confusion around where to go, how processes work, or long wait times during critical periods. I believe SSU should prioritize clearer communication, stronger cross-campus consistency, and more student-friendly systems. By focusing on accessibility and proactive support, we can ensure both current and future students feel guided, supported, and confident navigating their campus experience.

As a reminder, you will need to vote for campus-specific representatives, but all Board discussions are passed when every Board member is involved. Take a look at all of your campus representatives, stop by their campaign booths, and make an informed decision on March 16 - March 20.
